Defense of Monteriggioni
The Defense of Monteriggioni was an event recorded in Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy. It is the third chapter of the Italian Wars Memory Sequence, and the Achievement unlocked by completing it is called "Commander." The chapter takes place in the city of Monteriggioni, Italy, in the year 1454, and follows Mario Auditore's efforts to keep Monteriggioni safe from the upcoming Florentine attack.
Resourceful

Knowing that Florence was going to attack soon, Mario began to prepare the defenses of Monteriggioni, and he also get to mingle with the citizens.Mario starts to help the carpenters to build the defenses of Monteriggioni, he also helps citizens to grow food inside the walls, besides that he also started working with the miners in the mines outside of Monteriggioni.
People Skills

Mario now gets to know the citizens, their skills and problems. He talks and argues with Courtesans on various topics such as astronomy and philosophy. He also assists the smiths doing their job, he helps them with the forges and get the best equipment available to soldiers. Besides, he also speaks to all artists of Monteriggioni, from painters to sculptors, he keeps their friendship by his brother's connections in Florence, importing the finest paintings to an art gallery that he did. After all he was to train the soldiers, he helps the younger soldiers giving tips and showing how to fight a battle, he trains soldiers with all kinds of training, from how to disarm a soldier to fight with exotic weapons. He still gets a visit from his assassins brothers who have new news about the Templars, then they make a list of Assassination targets that will have a critical effect on the balance of power in Italy.
Defensive Measures

Now that the attack was closest, Mario began to take action and make plans for the defense of the Villa. Mario visits the maintainer of the barn to learn more about the horses that will die in battle with the soldiers or keep them alive, he feeds them and cares for them, for when they need it, the horses are ready. Mario teaches soldiers how to position themselves within the city walls and what to do when they see something wrong, Mario also talks to the architects of Villa to find some way to improve the walls. To stay prepared, Mario sends spies to every corner of Italy to discover any relevant information about the enemy's movements. Monteriggioni has many small towns and lonely constructions outside the walls, which from a strategic position but that may be a great loss, Mario then talks with the residents of this area and pays them to assist in the defense of the city, he still puts mercenaries in several points not only to oversee the problems but also likely to demonstrate the commitment to the Villa to them.
Cleaning House

Despite the efforts of Mario, Monteriggioni is still taken by violence and internal conflicts, which would not be natural for a small community like that and think Mario is dealing with a skillful manipulator. Mario finds several conflicts between families in the streets, which he at least tries to solve. Mario thinks too many thieves operating in the city, they were sent with specific orders on what to steal and put in place that the findings, but they do not have specific names, Mario can then collaborate with them to his cause, winning skillful allies. Mario wanted to find the troublemaker, so he sent all the available agents to find him, paying for these citizens tell their stories, many names are mentioned, and after a while there is only one name: Luciano Pezzati. Mario and his men surround the house of Luciano and start a fight with Luciano's men, when they finally enter the house Luciano are waiting with a knife in his hand, he and Mario began to fight almost without any lose or draw blood ,they are still fighting trying to find a gap in the opponent, and when Luciano attacks, Mario slice his fingers, but Luciano is still fighting and attacks again, Mario dodges and plants the knife in the shoulder Pezzati, but it takes another blade with the left hand, then Mario throws his weight up to Luciano and strikes his temple, knocking him out.
Storm Warning

New information warn Mario that the Florentines are moving the army to the walls of Monteriggioni. Mario puts all his men in formations, for that one formation helps other formations, he sent some soldiers to the ramparts, others for intercepting enemy charges, others are sent to the towers, and still others are sent to position themselves on the flanks the enemy. Before the battle, Mario and his soldiers wear the armor and Mario encourages them to let them give their best in battle. First, the Florentines send a small band of horseman, which are quickly killed by the soldiers. Mario then returns the position of the army and talks about various things, such as family and that Monterggioni endured for 200 years and that would not fall then, and he encourages his men that the only thing that the Florentines would find that day was death.
Weathering The Storm

The Florentines surrounded Monteriggioni and the battle began. At first the archers on both sides opened fire, causing several casualties on both sides, one of the formations is killed in the towers and try to invade the Florentines over there but were killed by other archers in the middle. The chivalry of Monteriggioni begin to attack the pikemen of Flrorençe, and take much advantage thanks to their training. The battle continues with several attacks from both sides, but most are won by those tactics Monteriggioni thanks to Mario. In the end of the battle,the Florentines begin to use two trebuchets, and Mario's soldiers must destroy them before they destroy the walls of Monteriggioni, Mario then leads the heavy cavalry to destroy the trebuchets, Mario throws a torch in one and his soldiers in another, and soon two fires were roaring on the battlefield and the defeated Florentines return home.
