Queen of Francia, Richardis was an unspoiled flower in a briar of poisonous thorns. The eventual patron saint of protection against fires no less, she was renowned throughout the kingdom for piety and kindness. She and Charles never consummated their marriage, though one could hardly blame her for that. She liked bears, and apparently they liked her back.
