The Agora of Athens was an agora located northwest of the Akropolis Sanctuary in Athens, Greece, serving the civic heart of the polis.
During the classical period, the agora served as the center of all political. commercial, administrative, social, and legal activity.
In 431 BCE, the agora was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra.[1]
