The database is a type of machine used by Rebecca Crane and Shaun Hastings to record information on people and places of interest in Assassin's Creed: II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

The Database marks the general locations of Glyphs and Assassin's Tombs in Assassin's Creed II as well as the general locations of Rifts and Followers of Romulus Lairs in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Trivia

• The database commonly has false information on birth years. For example, Francesco de' Pazzi and Vieri de' Pazzi, who are father and son, are stated to have an age difference of 10. This is most likely an error on part of the developers, or, in-universe, Shaun.
• Some of the characters present in Assassin's Creed II do not appear in the database.
