Claudia Auditore is a young Florentine girl from a noble family living during the 15th Century in Italy: the Renaissance. She is the daughter of Giovanni Auditore, an Assassin, a "profession" of her father that she doesn't know.

Assassin's Creed II

The day following Ezio's brawl with Vieri de' Pazzi's men, Claudia met with him feeling depressed. She suspected her boyfriend Duccio, of being unfaithful. Ezio convinced her that Duccio was not the one for her and when on to confront him for Claudia.

After the tragic events that befell the Auditore family, Ezio vows to protect her, along with their mother, and escorts them both to the safety of the Villa Auditore. There, her uncle Mario puts her to work keeping a book of finances for the Villa; a task she finds positively scandalous, since it involves "work".

In the official novel 'Assassin's Creed: Renaissance', Claudia went with Maria to a convent in Monteriggioni for a short time, and took her vows as a noviziata, or novice sister. However, she soon relocated to the Auditore villa and was later married to one of Mario's 'best men.' It is also stated in the book that she will soon 'give Ezio a niece or nephew of his own,' bringing more than one heir to the Auditore bloodline.

Characteristics and personality

It is evident that she has been too spoiled by Giovanni, violent when a girl “looked at her boyfriend” and at times immature when Mario assigned her to manage the Auditore Villa's finances. Regardless, Claudia is very capable of handling and keeping track of the town’s bankroll and her brother’s purchases. She is also kind with her family, especially being emotional regarding her father and brother’s execution and her mother’s emotional trauma.

Trivia

  • Claudia is one of the few noticeable people who appear not to age over the course of the game. She remains at the same desk in the Villa Auditore for 23 years. Her only interaction with Ezio is asking if he is "... [there] to look at the book" of finances.
  • Because of her violent streak, Giovanni had to raise her dowry by 1000 florins because she scared off all of her suitors.
