Christopher Alben

Christopher Alben (died 1915) was a British corporal who fought in World War I.

In March 1915, Alben was deployed along with the British Army in northern France. While there, Alben wrote a letter to his girlfriend Katie, explaining his intention to marry Kate and persuading her not to read the newspaper reports on the War. Alben later died in battle three weeks later.

By 1916, Alben's letter ended up in London, where it was recovered by the British Assassin Lydia Frye.
