Christ Church

Christ Church was the oldest Anglican church in the North End of Boston. The church has the highest steeple in Boston.

History

On the night of Paul Revere's ride to warn Continental Army forces of the British Army's movements, two signal lanterns appeared to warn rebels on the opposite shore that the British Regulators were on their way to seize weapons.

In 1776, the church was renamed to the "Old North Church."
