The Charioteer of Delphi was a statue dedicated to Delphi by Polyzelos, the Tyrant of Gela, to commemorate his victory in chariot racing during the Pythian Games in 470 BCE.
The statue stood in front of the sanctuary of the Pythia and visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
