Ceremonial Axe

The Ceremonial Axe was a battleaxe adorned with ritualistic iconography in the 5th century BCE Greece. Used mainly to conduct ceremonies and rituals, the axe could be used in battle as well.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra possibly obtained this axe during her travels.[1]

Trivia
- The Ceremonial Axe shares the model with Mushussu from Assassin's Creed: Origins. As such it is once again based on a type of axe called "gazelle-headed axe" from the Mughal Empire in the Indian subcontinent. Its appearance in both games is anachronistic.
