The Ceremonial Axe was an axe adorned with ritualistic iconography in the 5th century BCE Greece. Used mainly to conduct ceremonies and rituals, the axe could be used in battle as well.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra possibly obtained this axe during her travels.[1]
