Adexios Naftis Shipwreck

The Adexios Naftis Shipwreck was a shipwreck in Lake Mareotis, north of the Egyptian village of Yamu.

In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek explored the ship's remains and looted the valuables that had been left behind.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The shipwreck's name is a combination of the Greek words adexios (αδέξιος) meaning "slouch" and naftis (ναύτης) meaning "ship" or "sailor".
