Caserma di Alviano was used by Bartolomeo as a Barracks up until 1503. It then became a training ground for mercenaries, until it fell into disrepair, and was leveled during the expansion of the Roman city. In 1960, it was suggested that Caserma di Alviano become the site of a memorial, but due to no one knowing the exact coordinates of the Barracks, it was decided that a park should reside there instead. Unfortunately, this project was never completed, and the land was sold for commercial use.
