Burk was an Norse man from Jorvik, Eurvicscire in the 9th century.

In the 870s, Burk blinded an Anglo-Saxon worker Chad over his eye on his wares and accused him of theft. Afterwards, Chap ran as Burk went looking for him. Soon, he found Chad, who was assisted by Viking Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan. Despite Chad's pleas of not wanting to go with him, Burk ordered his men to take Chad and thanked Eivor for her help. However, while Chad was taken by Burk's men, Eivor rescued Chad once again while Burk ran away.[1]
