Bonfire of the Vanities is the latter of two downloadable contents announced by Ubisoft, and was released on February 18, 2010. The DLC with the 3 templar locations will cost 560 MS/€6.99 and the DLC without will cost 320 MS/€3.99. The DLC will open up the southern quarter of Florence previously sealed off and revolves around the monk Savonarola, who is controlling the city in absence of the Medici. Using the Piece of Eden; which he stole from a critically wounded Ezio Auditore after his confrontation with Checco Orsi, Savonarola was able to control the city’s nine most influential citizens, and use them for his own means.

The DLC will offer several new additions to the game, including ten new missions, a new maneuver (the Sprint Jump) which allows Ezio to jump twice as far as normal, the southern part of the city of Florence and access to the three Templar Lairs (previously Limited Edition exclusives); the Palazzo Medici, Santa Maria dei Frari and Arsenal Shipyard.
