Biography

Though hailing from a wealthy family, Bogd became notorious for squandering his wealth and eventually became endebted to many people, including Xex. At some point around 823, Bogd went to Kandovan, married Masha and brought her back to live with him and his two older wives in the nearby city of Tabriz. He later forbade her sister Bolour from seeing Masha and Masha herself from vising her parents. Roshan, Masha's oldest sister, intervened through Dervis, proposing to Bogd that she would pay him enough to clear all his debts if he released Masha. Because his debt was too great, running the risk of having all three wives taken by the loan sharks, he accepted and released Masha.[1]
