Black Eyes was the nickname given by Roshan to an inmate of a Fustat prison cell.
Biography
In 824, while incarcerated, Black Eyes placed his attention on the young and newly incarcerated thief Roshan, who hid her gender to evade persecution. One night, he watched and followed Roshan, who escaped the main cell by digging out. Tracking her, he attacked her and caused a commotion, which made the other prisoners riot and the guards notice their escape. However, his Achilles' tendon was slashed by Roshan, who pushed him away, and Black Eyes was jailed once more by the guards while Roshan left to escape.[1]
