Birdie was the young apprentice to witch-warrior Niamh of Argyll.
Circa 878, Birdie delivered her mentor with two letters, one intercepted from the Hidden Ones and another by the Lady, who sought to have Niamh act as her spy and infiltrate the group. Though inexperienced and illiterate, Niamh decided to give her a chance and have her accompany her in her mission.[1]
