Alouette

Alouette (English: Lark; died 870 CE) was an eagle companion to the Frankish Hidden One Oisel during the late 9th century.

Biography

Adopted by Oisel sometime after he joined the Hidden Ones, Alouette accompanied her master on his travels. In 870, she joined Oisel and his fellow Hidden One Matthias as they traveled along the Silk Road to investigate a mysterious group known as the Snake-Eaters. During an assault on a fortress held by the Snake-Eaters, the mercenaries' leader Dunya threw a dagger at Alouette, killing her instantly.[1]
