Belas Knap

Belas Knap is a long barrow and ancient monument that dates back to 3000 BCE, that was used as a pagan offering site and a burial chamber, located in Gloucestershire, England.
History
In the late 9th century, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan travelled to the long barrow and probed its surroundings. By walking around the barrow, Eivor found three chest keys within three small chambers, which opened a treasure chest within the main chamber of the barrow, and claimed the Isu shield, The Morrigan's Guard.[1]
Behind the Scenes
According to its history, Belas Knap was used successively for multiple burials and had a false entrance to deter any thief from robbing any of its graves.
