The Battleaxe was the common model of battleaxe in Egypt at the time of the Ptolemaic dynasty.

Description

The relatively mediocre Battleaxe was plain in design, consisting only of a crescent axe blade tied to a wooden pole, but it nevertheless was still capable of deliver inflicting great injury. A more distinctive feature of the axe was that the blade was tied perfectly with the pole at either end of the head and at the center, such that there were no protrusions or hooks to speak of.
