The Basilica di Santa Croce is a major church in Florence. Construction on the church started in 1294 when the construction site was outside the city walls and the counstruction was finished in 1442. In Assassin's Creed II Uberto Alberti is assassinated in the courtyard while unveiling Botticelli's newest works.
