Basilica di San Lorenzo
The Basilica di San Lorenzo is a major church in Florence, Italy and the burial place of the prominent members of the Medici family, which includes Lorenzo de' Medici. The church appears in Assassin's Creed II as a view point and a glyph location.
After Girolamo Savonarola took over Florence in 1494, the city's guard captain, who supported Savonarola, stationed himself and several of his guards - mainly Agile guards and Archers - in the Basilica, as a trap for any Medici supporters, and made them fight to their death.
In 1497, the guard captain was confronted by Ezio Auditore da Firenze, an Assassin, who successfully defeated and killed the guard captain.
