Time period: 1898 (start of Boxer Rebellion), China

Historical Event: Boxer Rebellion and tensions leading upto and after.

Historica Actors: Boxers v. Qing Dynasty(who let the imperialists in) v. UK, Fr, Ger, US, Ru, Jap., A.H., and Italy. (not any really well known figures)

Reasoning: The Boxers wanted to kick out the Christians (i.e. Templars); perhaps the Assassins headed the rebellion (maybe trying to protect a hidden piece of Eden??!!?!?). Weapons will still be fairly unsophisticated, allowing for knives and swords to still hold some value in the rebellion. Doesn't even have to be about the rebellion entirely, that could just be the climax of the tension, or something of the like. Would allow for an interesting look into Chinese weaponry (see Butterfly knives, hook swords(!!!), throwing stars, wind and fire wheels, wushu iron fan, and (a return of) rope darts). Also who doesn't want to climb this. I think this period works for the weaponry is so unique , its an interseting event (with a christian/Templar theme), and gives an entirely new culture to look at.

Personally I like this Idea so much that I will reject all copy right and other forms of claim whatsoever, if Ubisoft were to pick up this idea. I think the era is perfect for Assassin's Creed.
