Supreme, you flatter me. You really do. I've never really considered myself smart. ^^ I just like to make sense, y'know? Put 2 and 2 together, figure out what's missing, what might connect the dots. Assassin's Creed is all about puzzles and mystery and coming full circle with details, so I wouldn't be surprised if Aveline travels north based on a rumor or heresay from someone about her mom. Then she runs into Connor and realizes they're both Assassins, he helps her find her mom, and perhaps, maybe, they get close because he helps her. I doubt she'd want to stay with her father if he intentionally sent her mother away. I think her views of slavery would conflict with what her father did to her mother, which may have been to sell her as a slave. That alone might convince her to stay with Connor. Maybe.
