I agree with Sima. I don't see Daniel being this mindless opressed drone, he's close with Vidic (though maybe to a professional level) and I think he truly believes in the Templar rhetoric that he's been teaching to who knows how many Abstergo field agents. I guess he's kind of like a Templar Desmond but they are completely different characters at the same time.
