Many people would care if their ideas were stolen, especially if they had put a copyright claim on it to prevent people from taking it and using it for their own profit.

Whether or not Ubisoft are innocent remains to be ruled in this court case, but I seriously doubt that this person would stop Assassin's Creed from being created.

All he hopes to gain from this is a settlement fee, or some royalties from the product.
