I say there is only one way this can go. He is the son of someone Ezio killed. My guess is he is a Borgia. I don't remember if it was a son or really young brother, but there was one family member of Cesare's that was 20 or more years younger than him so that'd put the guy in the movie at the right age. If you look at the picture of the two they do look similar. He just wanted his revenged which could explain why he and Ezio had that moment of recognition before Ezio died. Ezio looked at the guy and the guy looked back and smiled like he was saying "Yeah it's me"
