Now is it me, or did Ezio start to wheeze BEFORE the man grabbed his hand. And if you noticed, they both have the exact same eyes. The man is just a way of showing Ezio's final thoughts before he died, sort of like his life flashing before his eyes. The man was a way of Ezio reliving his old young, spirited moments in a few seconds before he passed away.
