Promising. I used the hidden gun A LOT in Assassin's Creed Revelations. In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood I mostly used the crossbow and occasionally the throwing knives and hidden gun. In Assassin's Creed 2, I didn't actually bother using projectile weapons because the throwing knives weren't very useful. If you threw one at a Florentine guard then it would kill them while displaying that you had been caught. In Venice it took two throwing knives to kill Venetian guards. The hidden gun took too long to load up in AC2 but it was the most effective in my opinion.
