To the Wiki contributor: Thanks for the tip. I merely spammed and mashed the Square button.
Back to the relevant point: The Hidden Blade's Combat System made worwhile due to its instant counter-kills, but, as you said, it was a very vexing affair. I used almost only the Hidden Blade throught the entirety of Assassin's Creed. It's a difficult weapon to use in open combat in all the games, but it's deadly nonetheless, if used in counters. Swords, short blades, and all the others were very effective in countering, but when facing high-ranked foes, they don't die instantly from counters. I hated that the hardest weapon to counter with was the only weapon that can kill instantly. They need to make it as easy to counter with Hidden Blade as it is to counter with all the other weapons. What they really should improve is countering the FREAKING STRONG ATTACKS, and the FREAKING DEFENSE BREAK. When I do a step, they hit me instantly, and when they do a step, I don't have any time to react. The enemies' strong attacks are almost impossible to counter.
