Ezio's already left plenty for Desmond. The clues to the temple and the messages from Minerva. I doubt there will be any armor for Desmond, seeing how the only people Desmond ever killed were the Abstergo guys and Lucy.

Plus, Desmond doesn't need armor. He is impossible to kill. I should know, I've spent at least 70% of my Brotherhood time jumping off buildings as Desmond just to see if he'll die at least once.
