They have added to the Recruit system for AC:R, so far what we know is: There are now 15 levels instead of 10 for the recruits. Instead of the 'Assassin Hideouts', you now get 'Assassin Dens' which house your Recruits. And these Dens can come under attack depending on your notoriety, so you can get Master Assassins to stay there and protect them (I'm guessing Master Assassins are level 15 Recruits).
