I will. Once Altaïr had intercourse with Maria, and thus conceived his child with her, the camera doesn't follow Altaïr anymore, but instead moves to Maria's belly. Altaïr's memories had been passes on via his DNA to his son. That son passes his and all his ancestors' memories on this HIS son, and on and on. That's how Desmond is able to see all his ancestors' memories via his DNA in the Animus.
