Did you watch the end of the AnvilNext Trailer? Connor ran up and air assassinated a Continental in the face. Also at the end of the Connor's story trailer he takes out an entire squad of 'MERICANS.

Regarding the other topic, it should be noted that Altair, Ezio, Connor and several other assassin's killed scores of innocent soldiers who were just "doing there jobs". Not to mention Connor also killed lot's of Bambies :P
