The problem with this, is that Greece at the time was, visually, alot like the AC1 setting. This alone is not nuch of a problem, but If we are to change setting again, I'd much have a setting we have not seen at all, like Japan or the Vikings, or even Victorian London. Going back to the Mediterranean would be a waste right now.

Also, on a sidenote, the Persians in contrast to the Athenians, and of course the Spartians, were much more "kind"  towards the people of the Empire and, if I'm not mistaken, were against slavery. Spartians on the other hand, are a perfect fit for the Templar ideology.
