They do not in fact wish to control humanity for the sake of controlling humanity. They seek dominion over Humanity for the reasons that They see the truth, in that peace is impossible with free will in men. They seek domination because mankind cannot be trusted as a whole to accept truth as in fact being truth. Man is blinded by his own perception. The simple principle that if you believe yourself correct, you cannot believe yourself to be wrong, and vice versa. In simpler terms, humanity as a whole only focuses on the now, never on the future, global warming being a good example. As such, the end result (peace), means nothing, if the means are even slightly tedious. To put it even simpler: One cannot lay his trust in a mob, indecisive by nature. To truly achieve what is best for the people, you must disregard the people, and their opinions on the means of which said achievement is achieved.
