Well, I would like it to be set during the American Revolution on one condition...

That every Founding Father is a Templar. All Americans would freak out... :D (Considering that the Revolution was instigated based on the liberal ideas of John Locke, who was hinted at to be Templar-influenced or at least unknowingly encouraged by them, it doesn't seem very far-fetched.)
