The war of 1812 would make more sense if you go with chronological events. The battle of Canada-USA as the history tell. The act of Quebec province which was already seen in AC3 (assassin's contract). 

But i'm just wondering if that story line would be possible to put in a video game. Canada has very strict laws. I mean when was the last time we all saw Canada represented in a video game ?? Canada govt refused that the country was present in games such as Call Of Duty or even Battlefield even if they were very present in Irak and Afganistan in reality. (just an example). 

But who knows....AC was created in Montreal, Canada. Who knows how the AC serie will end up. My guess is Desmond will get to Montreal, Canada and the story will end up where he was created, but that's just what i think.

My vote for the war of 1812 for sure  !
