If it is somehow his son, I would like to play as his son when he is around thirteen years old with beast assassin skills. That way, they could make a full-life story of his son. But it doesn't have to necessarily have to be his son. I wouldn't like the series to continue with his son, because it usually goes in random order; Altair, Ezio, Connor, Desmond; none of them are directly kin to each other, so I would like it to be someone besides a person close to Desmond.
