First thing the Assassins have to lose at the end. If you've seen the glyphs you'd know that the Templars succeded in the end of the war.

Second what about free roam? You seriously cannot free roam in a city with bombs dropping on your head.

3rd No combat. In all previous ACs, we could get into fights, or if we're caught, we could kill the attackers. Here everyone will have guns, and all guns will be automatic or semi automatic (unlike the muskets in AC3)

4th It's overused. Every part of the world war is well known to all gamers, thanks to millions of FPS in this time period.
