no intention of opression? they are using such to ensure peace, sure the methods are more subtle than the borgia and they ultimately want peace but they are opressing people just the same. the apples are used to control the minds of man to change the way they think, and they also realise that they have to deal with the few that are less suseptable to the apples effects.
