Balagrae was an ancient Greek colony located in the northern region of Kyrenaika.

In 47 BCE, while on his journey towards Cyrene in pursuit of Flavius Metellus, the Medjay Bayek passed by the city, whose citizens had fell under the effects of the Apple of Eden used by Flavius. He encountered a healer named Praxilla, who was forced to eliminate several of the citizens in self defence. Bayek helped her to rescue an old lady named Nenet and escorted her to a nearby cart.
