This is going off of what Half-rose is saying: freedom can quite frequently and quire easily become more of an opinion or idea than a title or fact. It completely depends on your point of view, thus both sides have arguably worthwhile intentions. Templars, however, are the more obvious "bad guy" motif gaining freedom through power. The moraless ideas of both are changing my perspectives on this battle. You can contest wills all you like, as I do, and I've come to the realization that it is quite hard to believe you are all fighting for the same ideal, especiallly when you dig in deeper and pay close attention.
