They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me Axehead.

This article is about a subject that lacks an official name and is known only by its nickname, title, or alias.

Axhead (died 870s) was a 9th century Norse Viking from Grantebridgescire, England.

In the 870s, Axhead fought against an opponent and bested his enemy, but sustained a fatal wound of a small battleaxe in his head. Sitting on a log, he was met by a traveler, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, while she noticed his injury. From their conversation, Eivor decided on whether to tell the Viking the truth and pulled out the ax, ultimately killing Axhead and sending him to Valhalla.[1]
