The AC marketing team was always trying to manipulate us. Remember the last time?

Hey, look at this brand new game, it's called Assassin's Creed II ! And it's totally a full game, scout's honor! ... but considering the game is also an "experience" and DLCs are also a part of the "experience", please but 2 add-ons! Oh, and thet the game's only mode is called Story Mode? That there aren't any other modes besides that one? It's not redundant at all!

Say, do you want more of AC2? Like, it's second, missing part? Plus a new "mode"! It's called "Multi" Player! Ooo!

We also heard that you want more closure on Altair and Ezio's story too! So what would you say for the third and last part of AC2? Pretty kewl, huh?

...

And so they released the true Assassin's Creed II game in three "episodes". And not many people noticed that! Instead they promoted all 3 as full titles not revealing to us that they wanted to make more "episodes".

Okay, I'm not saying that I don't like the games, heck, I REALLY like all 3 of them... but as 3 parts of something bigger, not 3 separate instalments. The marketing team fooled us all back in 2009. And yeah, I knew something was up. First of all, the naming of "Story Mode". Second - there was just too much stuff to do in just one game (AC3) at that point. Now there isn't because the Ezio saga was finished and we're in perfect position to have just one game to wrap everything up.

All I'm saying is... never trust the AC marketing team. Just buy the games and enjoy them.
