When you guys are on that topic, I think one particular Neil Young song has some good lyrics for this: "It's better to burn out than it is to rust."

Though personally, if the games can keep amusing me - and more importantly for me, keep improving the lore - then I will want to keep buying the games. I do hope that 'when the gamers say stop' (since gamers don't have one singular conscience, will this ever be so?), that the last game they make will tie up the entire plot and not stop the series with an open ending.
