This page lists all the nominations for Featured status. The Istruttori monitor this page and the voting process.

Featured is the highest level an article can achieve, and as such, it must meet certain requirements.

An article must…

  • …be well-written and detailed.
  • …be unbiased, non-point of view.
  • …be sourced with all available sources and appearances.
  • …follow the Manual of Style, Layout Guide, and all other policies on ACWiki.
  • …following the review process, be stable, i.e. it does not change significantly from day to day and is not the subject of ongoing edit wars. This does not apply to vandalism and protection or semi-protection as a result of vandalism.
  • …not be tagged with any sort of improvement tags (i.e. more sources, expand, etc).
  • …have a proper lead that gives a good summary of the topic and can be used for the front page featured box.
  • …have no more than 3 redlinks and none in the introduction, infobox, or any templates.
  • …have significant information from all sources and appearances, especially a biography for character articles.
  • …not have been previously featured on the Main Page. Otherwise, it can only be restored to featured status.
  • …be completely referenced for all available material and sources.
  • …have all quotes and images sourced.
  • …provide at least one quote on the article. A leading quote at the beginning of the article will be required only if there is quotable dialogue by or about the subject. Although quotes may be placed in the body of the article, a maximum of one quote is allowed at the beginning of each section.
  • …include a "personality and characteristics" section on all character articles.
  • …include a reasonable number of images of sufficient quality to illustrate the article, if said images are available.
  • …have a "behind the scenes" section when the info is available
  • …pass review by the Istruttorium review panel.

If the article meets at least 6 of the pre-requisites, the article is permitted to be held for nomination.

How to nominate:

  1. First, nominate an article you find is worthy of featured status, putting it at the bottom of the list below; see criteria above. Note that a previously featured article cannot be featured on the Main Page again; however, it can be restored to featured status.
  2. Others will object to the nomination if they disagree that the article is good enough; they will then supply reasons for doing so, and ways to improve the article (errors, style, organization, images, notability, sources).
  3. Supporters adjust the article until the objectors (with reasonable objections) are satisfied.
  4. The article is placed on the featured article list and added to the front page queue.
  5. Also, if, at least a week after the article's nomination, that article has 3 Istruttore supports and no objections (or the objections have been stricken or overridden), it will be added to the queue, and will be officially known as a "featured article."

How to vote:

  1. Before doing anything, be sure to read the article completely, keeping a sharp eye out for mistakes.
  2. Afterwards, compare the article to the criteria listed above, and then either support or object the article's nomination.
  3. Please note that in order for your vote to count, you must have 50 mainspace edits.
    1. If you object, please supply concrete reasons for doing so, and how it can be improved. Please cite which rule your objection falls under, if possible. Failure to do so may result in your objection being considered invalid.
  4. As stated above, any objections will be looked upon by the nominator, supporters, and anyone willing to improve the article, and action will be taken to please the objectors. Do not strike other users' objections; it is up to the objector to review the changes and strike if they are satisfied.
  5. Once the article has five supporting Istruttori votes and no outstanding objections after at least a week, the article will be added to the queue and be officially known as a "featured article." Although articles do not need regular users' votes to pass, non-Istruttori are encouraged to review articles and participate in the process.
Also remember to add {{NomF}} at the top of the article you are nominating.

Mass vote to remove article statuses

This is a mass vote to remove a number of articles which are marked FA, but fail to fulfill the requirements of the position. Quite honestly, I'm not sure a lot of these were even voted to the position (their votes are not in the archives). Without further ado, let's begin. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:11, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

Majd Addin - Remove

Abu'l Nuqoud - Remove

Robert de Sable - Remove

Talal - Remove

Tamir - Remove

William of Montferrat - Remove

Siege of Viana - Remove

Attack on Masyaf - Remove

Might make a GA. --VatsaGentek 14:20, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

Leonardo da Vinci - Yay

A very talented person. --VatsaGentek 14:20, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

Siege of Viana - Voting

This article was FA, but was removed because Jasca Ducato and some other users didn't consider it good enough, so it was removed as FA. I done some minor rewording, added a better quote, and so on. It made it to FA before with great pictures, good quotes and well written information. It is worthy of FA. It deserves it. Romeh Speak now 18:19, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Yay

  1. Same reasons above. Romeh Speak now 18:19, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I touched the article up a bit (adding some necessary links, etc.) and now I agree with Rome, it deserves FA. Let's hope it receives it. Nostalgia AC 22:04, September 30, 2011 (UTC)
  3. It can pass for FA. I would've preferred to have more information and pictures on the historical event, but that's not going to happen. -- Master Sima Yi 16:09, October 12, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Removed a few redundant links and reworded very slightly, but otherwise, it looks fine. No complaints from me. =GuardDog 06:34, October 28, 2011 (UTC)
  5. I talked to Rome about the "Aftermath" section and he explained about it. The information is there, the quotes are good and it covers the event well. It's a Yay from this St0ryTeller. --Teller Words, On my Screen :O 16:39, November 7, 2011 (UTC)
  6. Alright, so it's been a long time since this page was put up for nomination, and I now believe that it is ready. A fantastic read with proper quotes, and images, it's now a very different article from the one that got removed as FA. Subject 12 Talk to me 18:32, November 9, 2011 (UTC)
  7. Rectified vote. Looked better after I had a second look. Fixed something minor, dead link and picture placement. --Jack WallsSupermen 16:47, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

Nay

  1. Hmm, well its very close to FA, it has everything an FA would need; information, images, sourcing, infobox, proper formatting, nice headers and of course well written, etc. But it doesn't seem to "flow" like an FA should. Its as if all the FA requirements have been gathered into a messy pile. It may just be me though, it is so close and deserves more than GA, but not quite FA. -- 'R BlaiddDdraig Enter... THE SCARY DOOR 05:26, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
  2. ^What he said. I don't know, it just doesn't mesh like an FA should. --Jack WallsinFamous 13:55, October 18, 2011 (UTC)
  3. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 17:23, October 30, 2011 (UTC)

Comments

  1. The article had its FA status removed because it failed to fulfil the requirements for an FA article. This has not changed. Also, this "someone" you're referring to, which we both know is me, was not the only person to think this way, hence why the article was voted down. So quit it with the sly comments. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 17:23, October 30, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I didn't refer to you directly because I had a feeling you would get defensive over that, in some way. Romeh Speak now 21:20, October 30, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Expand the aftermath, then I'll vote Yay. Teller Words, On my Screen :O 16:25, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

Daniel Cross - Yay

Two higher ups and 2 staff votes -- enough to close it up. -- D. Cello 23:18, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Malik Al-Sayf - Yay

Aaand one more - first AC to the win! -- D. Cello 19:55, October 12, 2011 (UTC)

Hannah Mueller - Yay

Enough staff votes to pass for FA. -- Master Sima Yi 10:49, October 13, 2011 (UTC)

Niccolò Machiavelli - Yay

Enough votes to pass for FA. -- Master Sima Yi 12:01, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Templars - Yay

FA. --Vatsa (talkGentek) 02:50, November 4, 2011 (UTC)

Caterina Sforza - Yay

Sufficient votes. --Vatsa (talkGentek) 02:50, November 4, 2011 (UTC)

Antonio de Magianis - Yay

Sufficient staff votes to pass. --Vatsa (talkGentek) 02:50, November 4, 2011 (UTC)

Confrontation in the Vatican - Yay

Enough yays, no nays. As Jasca pointed, you can expand the Aftermath section -- but a great article regardless. (but seriously, expand it XD ) -- D. Cello 20:53, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

Assassin's Creed: Lineage

Sufficient votes, I believe. --Jack WallsSupermen 16:14, November 25, 2011 (UTC)

Shao Jun

I've done all I could to this page and, with the info from the encyclopedia integrated into the article, I think it's good enough for FA. Clean, sourced, properly tensed, and not a dead link in sight. What say you, good people? --Jack WallsSupermen 16:14, November 25, 2011 (UTC)

Yay

  1. Peynir. --Jack WallsSupermen 16:14, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Despite the infobox image, which I don't like, you've got my vote. Nesty Contact me! 16:48, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
  3. A wise man once told me that "Standards are for squares. Like pants.". :P Teller Words, On my Screen :O 21:51, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
  4. The formatting is good, the article is oversee-able and a good read. Aside from some flaws Blaidd mentioned, I think it's quite worthy for FA. -- Master Sima Yi 16:36, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
  5. For the reasons mentioned above. Elchzard (Talking is fun) 17:15, November 28, 2011 (UTC)

Nay

  1. Nope, I wouldn't vote this for GA. Before I did some work on it the tense was all over the place and the wording was quite average. Some information is also repeated about 2 or 3 times, just with slightly different wording. I corrected some things, but for my vote, this page is going to need a vast improvement. -- 'R BlaiddDdraig Enter... THE SCARY DOOR 07:06, November 27, 2011 (UTC)
  2. The wording needs improvement in areas, and also seems to lack certain information, such as in the "Time in Italy" section. There are also some minor tense fixes that still need to be made, and the "Equipment and skills" section needs expansion, possibly to include more of her personality or something like that, in my opinion. Nostalgia Let's talk. 20:10, November 28, 2011 (UTC)

Hunt on Cyprus/Removal

Another look at the page made me realized how messed up it was, even before it passed FA status. Overly long paragraphs (some paragraphs contain unnecessary info), messy formatting of pictures, unorganized sectioning, improper/informal wording. I'll do a revamp of the page some time in the future but, for now, I say its status be removed. --Jack WallsSupermen 09:05, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

Remove

  1. Yeah, sue me for nominating it before. --Jack WallsSupermen 09:05, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I see what you mean about the wording. Not difficult to fix, just lengthy and tedious. -- 'R BlaiddDdraig Enter... THE SCARY DOOR 09:53, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Yay. For me some parts are not phrased very well and in some sections there is bad formatting. Romeh Speak now 16:14, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

Daniel Cross & Hannah Mueller/Removal

  • Look, I let it slide with Daniel Cross because the article was well written and I thought someone might add the mandatory Personality and Traits section soon after it was nominated, but now I see Hannah Mueller on the main page and I have to question some of the Staffs' thought processes at the time they saw these articles on this list. Neither of these articles have the mandatory Personality and Traits section, and Hannah Mueller is badly written at best. Honestly, even if somebody now writes a P&T section for both these articles, they still need to go through the entire process again and be looked at with a fresh set of eyes.

Remove

  1. As nominator. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 20:11, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
