Animus Project Update 2.0 is the second downloadable content pack for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, focusing on the game's multiplayer mode. It is free, and it is available as of January 19, 2011. It includes a new multiplayer map, the hill-top village Pienza, and a new multiplayer mode, Chest Capture. Chest Capture is a variation on the Capture the Flag mode, where you will be tasked with stealing treasure chests from opposing teams, and protecting your own.

Trivia

  • With the addition of this second multiplayer DLC, comes DLC restrictions, allowing only one of the two free DLC's to be switched on. Due to this feature, Chest Capture cannot be played in Mont Saint-Michel
  • When going to the DLC restriction option in the multiplayer mode, there seems to be an option for an Animus Project Update 3.0, perhaps hinting at another multiplayer DLC.
