I followed the directions down to crossing my "T" and dotting my "I", so in that regard, this is coming from someone who has done everything the instructions asked him to do but was met with zero success, and I have done this twice now.  Yes, I know how long this has been around, I wasn't born yesterday.  If it means anything, I'm running OS X Mavericks on a Mac Mini Mid 2010 model.  If I was running Linux, I may try that one.
