Connor wasn't a horrible character, just poorly developed and a bit OCD when it comes to Charles Lee. Any potential that Connor had was crushed with AC. That game had too many problems, the one that really bugs me, though, is the inconsistencies with the personalities of the Templars in sequences 2-3 compared to the rest of the game, the Charles in sequence 2-3 wouldn't spontaneously decide one day to go burn down a village and K.O. a 5 year-old boy.
